Sixth Sunday of Easter
PULPIT ANNOUNCEMENTS
- 2nd collection to day for St. Peter’s Seminary
- St. Monica Parish Family extends our deepest sympathy to Mrs. Carrie Stivers and her family in the passing of Mrs. Carrie’s sister, Elizabeth Cecelia Elliott.
- There is a representative from St. Catherine Parish, New Haven here selling chances for their annual picnic to be held o Saturday, June 2. They will have a Capital Prize of $2,000, Beef and Treasure Chest raffles. Mass will be at 4:00 pm, supper will begin at 4:00 pm. Booths will open at 4:30.
- If you have a relative who is graduating and would like to have their namespublished in the bulletin, please notify the office of their names and the school by Wednesday, May 23rd. Names will be published next Sunday.
- Second collection next Sunday for Catholic World Missions.

Sixth Sunday of Easter
PULPIT ANNOUNCEMENTS
1. We will be forming a Bereavement Choir. If you are interested in serving in this ministry see John James or call the office. For those who have already signed up through the Stewardship drive watch the bulletin for further information.
2. Next Sunday we will have our $1 collection for St. Peter’s Seminary.
3. The office will be closed on Thursday, May 17th in observance of Administrative Professionals Day.
4. Nicholas Weathers and Samantha Payne will be receiving their First Communion next Sunday.

Deadline for Mother’s Day Mass Intentions is Wednesday, May 9th. Donation is $10.
Fr. Tom Clark will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood @ a 2pm Mass of Thanksgiving on Sunday May 27 @ St. Joe. A reception will follow in St. Joe’s new parish hall. All members of St. Monica are invited to attend. Fr. Tom was pastor here from 1989-1991.
Any adults interested in a lector refresher course or new lectors who have signed up from the Stewardship drive please contact the office, Deacon Turner or Kim Hickman. Once we have the names we will get with everyone to set a date.

Fourth Sunday of Easter

- Enjoy a night out with your family and support Bethlehem High School Swim Team by eating at Lee’s Famous Recipe on Monday, April 30th from 4:00 – 9:00 pm. Dine in or take home! The swim team thanks you in advance for your support.
- Jennifer Hurst will be handing out plot numbers and free plants for our Community Garden today after Mass in the parish hall. We have 32 plots.
- The last RE class will be on May 6th. We will have a field day in June (date not yet determined).
- Reconciliation will be on May 12th and First Communion will be on May 20th at the 9am Mass. Please keep Nicholas Weathers and Samantha Payne in your prayers as they prepare to receive their sacraments.
- We will have our Wagon of Hope collection of non-perishable items for St. Vincent de Paul Mission Store next Sunday.

2nd Collection today for Billboards for Life
1. Fr. Jeff will be at National Federation of Priests’ Councils in Nashville next week. Fr. Tom will preside at weekday Masses & Deacon Scott will be available for pastoral emergencies.
2. St. Monica, St. Thomas & St. Gregory will have Confirmation together at St. Gregory on May 1st. Please keep our confirmandi in your prayers. They are Caroline Boone, Austin Harrison, Zachary Biven-Leslie, Chavon Jackson, Deja Jackson, Demarcus Hamilton, and Michael Wright.
3. Choir members from each church are invited to participate in the choir for Confirmation. There is a tentative practice scheduled for Monday, April 23rd. Contact Terry Rogan if interested. Her number is in the bulletin.
